It's Here! It's Here!
I got my new toy! And Dell was cool enough to ship it with the battery charged. Box-to-web time, under 5 minutes. Oh joy. Now I get to spend the next few days adjusting to it. I haven't used a touchpad regularly in ages, so that will be interesting. The keyboard has a really nice feel and sound to it, which I like already. Display is really sharp, even in sunlight. I also have to figure out what all this WindowsXP crap is and see what I can do about making it less hideous. I also have to go hunt Davis Sq. for a wireless connection so I can test that out.
It's light and it's fast. I'm happy.
