Journal Orientation
Managing Editor: We publish fifty percent of the notes submitted by students. The odds overwhelmingly favor you getting published!
My friend: Obviously, we're not on the Stats Journal.
Orientation was not a particularly pleasant way to spend my Saturday. All the worse because it started in the morning. Of course, the "Are you guys sure you don't want another pitcher?" happy hour on someone else's dime afterwards was pretty nice.

She may have used the proper grammar at the time. The happy hour made some of the details blurry.
