West Coast in da House
Early Interview Week smiled on me. I'm not going into great detail, but I will say that if you live on the west coast and want to grab dinner or a drink sometime soon, please drop me a line. I'm going to be in either LA or SF every weekend for the rest of the month. I've heard from 5 of the 18 firms I interviewed with on campus, and the results have been good. Nothing concrete yet, but I'm pleased with how things are going. I wish similar success to my various cohorts on the web going through the process.
This does present some problems for that whole "school" thing I do on the side, but I'm telling myself that plane flights are good study time.

To clarify... I've heard from 5 firms. They weren't all callbacks, but I'm still happy with where things stand. And still waiting on 13 others.

Congrats on the early returns so far, and good luck! Feel free to e-mail me if you want to get my opinion about L.A. firms. Having worked for three years for one firm, interviewed with countless others, and (perhaps most importantly) seen papers filed by many of the large firms when I clerked, I can probably tell you a little about almost all of them.

Wow. It's a good thing you renewed your license to kick ass.
