Upgrade
I bit the bullet and upgraded to MT 3.1. I was spending more time clearing out comment spam than I was posting, which frustrated me and made me less interested in posting even when I had the time. Plus, the old version was coming apart at the seams.
Now to figure out something about paying for the upgrade. Oh well.
On the good side, this creates a whole boatload of options for me to tweak the site when I have some time to play. On the bad side, I need a new distraction like I need another hole in the head right now.
UPDATE: Comments aren't quite fixed yet. The database appears sound again, but I haven't figured out the new spam prevention features, so right now, all comments have to be moderated, which is a pain. I'll get it fixed soon.
UPDATE II: Comments are working again, far as I can tell. I defaulted to unmoderated, with no requirement for Typekey authentication. We'll see how that goes.
UPDATE III: Entry closed to trackbacks to prevent spam.
