It's Always Better On Holiday
I'm back home for a whopping 36 hours, after 27 or so hours spent in airports and airplanes since I left Christchurch.
The trip was fantastic. Among many other things, I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge and toured the Sydney Opera House, had some cake from the famous shops on Acland Street in St. Kilda, went to a birthday party of someone I'd only met a night before in the suburbs of Melbourne, toured some Yarra Valley wineries, bungy jumped, went white water rafting, visited Uluru and Kata Tjuta, toured the New Zealand Parliament and Supreme Court, went to a rugby match, toured some more wineries, taken the TranzAlpine express, and toured the site of Edoras from the Lord of the Rings movies.
I flew roughly 24,000 miles.
And the adventure continued to the very end. I shared a shuttle from the Oakland Airport this morning with adult film star Tyla Wynn and one of her male coworkers whose name I've somehow managed to forget already (imagine that). The eavesdropping was great. Never a dull moment.
I've got 1400+ pictures to sort through, so keep an eye out if you like pretty pictures of far away places.

Glad you made it back safely. Something about being down there really makes one do way too much in far too short a period of time. Can't wait to hear about your adventures and compare notes.
Time to get our noodle on.

The funny thing is that one of my goals for the trip was to just relax and not worry if I wanted to spend a day chilling out instead of "doing something." Most days I did something anyway, although I had a few where I stopped to catch my breath.
